Ever wonder how much more take home pay you will get if you increase your allowances based on a house purchase? This calculator will do the job.

I have been looking around for an accurate withholding calculator and I think I finally found a good one.

This one hit my numbers right on the money because I entered in what I am currently witholding and it gave my takehome pay right down to the dollar.

I posted the link to the NY State calculator, but you can navigate their page to get links to other states.


I would suggest bookmarking this page. Now I just need to find a good tax estimator and I am all set.

I did it also and it was accurate for me. We never changed our withholdings because of the house, we rather get a really big return at the end of year for our yearly vacation and home improvement projects if needed. To be honest with you I didn't even know that was an option when we purchased our 1st house.
