anyone know about foreclosures?
How do I find out about a house that had foreclosed ? bank that is holding the mortgage ? mortgage amt ?
owners ? etc.

all I know is that in NY- you must be able to pay cash now- you can not get a mortgage on a foreclosure

Your local paper should have the information in the legal notices section, it needs to be listed 4 times I believe before the auction. It will tell you the details.
You need a certain percentage of your bid at the auction in cashiers checks (we were going to go to one in Feb and we needed 10% but, they ended up refinancing).
Many times the homes are refinanced before the auction so make sure you call ahead to see if it's still going to happen.
