General statement....
I am AMAZED at the way some kids (ok she's 21 yrs old) treat and talk to their parents.
My mother would knock my teeth out right before throwing me out of the house. As I would do to my daughter if she ever talked to me the way my boss' daughter treats/talks to her

Oh yeah, I worked in retail and this little girl flipped out because her mom didnt have the money to buy her sneakers, she caused a scene in the store. When she came up tp the counter I told her how lucky she was to have HER mother because mine would have pulled me out by my hair and beat the crap out of me. We were talking about this last night, its the parents fault. They let their children talk to them, they are afraid their kikds are going to CPS.

when I used to threaten that my mom would say, Good, call them! They'll take you away and put you in a home!!  So, I never did!!

The teenage girl who lives upstairs talks to her parents like they are random people in the street. She screams at her mother and cuss all the time at her.
I alway think to myself, when I hear her mouth off, man if she had my dad she would be eating her teeth lol.

I said it once to my mom and she told me "go ahead, it will be the LAST call you make" needless to say I ran and NEVER said that agian.

I would not, and I mean this in the most real sense, have survived my childhood if I EVER EVER EVER would have spoken to my parents the way I see some kids.
I actually saw a little girl PUNCH her father in the gut, as hard as she could one day, b/c he was being "annoying" she must have been 7, and it was after she made a HUGE fuss in a crowded restaurant.
the father LOOKED like he wanted to break her in half...he was MORTIFIED, but he got up from the table and walked out, with his retarded wife saying in that "yuppie, wanna-beselfactualized tone"- now Sarah (or any random little girls name...I don't remember ) you shouldn't hit your father"
UM...HELLOOOOOO no SH!T
I worked in a Haagen Dazs in Park Slope for years,....the "future" of this country was very bratty.

I agree. I'm a teacher and it's scary how little respect many of the kids have today. Not that it's everyone, of course. But times have definitely changed!
