Favorite bakeries in Coram?
My MIL recently moved to Coram (near N. Ocean and 25) and she's looking for a good bakery. Especially if it's got good Italian Cheesecake and other Italian specialties.
Can anyone recommend anything in the area?

Benkerts on middle country road in centereach!!!!! They have a great selection and some amazing cakes...the red velvet is DHs fave

OMG this is the best bakery ever....especially for their cakes! I'm not a big bakery cake fan either (I like homemade boxed cake !) but this cake is sooo yummy!

I love Benkert's. Their rainbow cookies are divine! However, when the weather gets nice it must get so hot in the back that they open the doors. Well, the amount of flies landing on all the doughnuts grosses me out. I questioned it once and was told that they can't help it. (Couldn't they put those plastic flaps in front of the doughnuts?)

Benkert's is sometimes hit or miss (more hit though)

I think Create-a-cake may be closer to your MIL
