Once you have already used an attorney to
sign your sales aggreement to present an offer must you use the same attorney through out the whole process once the offer is accepted?
The reason I ask is I found another attorney that was recommended to me that is less expensive.
TIA

$1500 to $2000 is on the very high side. I am a real estate attorney and my firm doesn't do residential closings unless it is for an existing client and we charge our clients $2000. You can change attorneys at any time but the first attorney may charge you for his/her services. If you need a recommendation FM me.

We changed attorneys in the middle and we are 100% glad that we did and would do it again if put in the same situation!
Go with the attorney you trust and enjoy dealing with.

Re: Once you have already used an attorney to
If you signed an agreement with your first attorney, check what is says about this. Also, you definitely owe for work already performed, if you havenlt already paid for that.

Yeah, find out what you owe at this point. It could wind up costing you close to $1500-$2000 anyway with fees for work already done and the new attorney.
