We're doing a savings bond. DH's goddaughter's communion is this weekend.

My grandmother bought me my rosary beads and gave me a check. (she's taken the place of my godmother, because she's not around anymore.)
I remember going into the religious store with her and picking them out, then we went to lunch. It was so nice!

The rosary is a really nice idea.
My godparents didn't live near us so they couldn't come to my communion. My godfather sent me a HUGE flower arrangement to the house that weekend. I felt so important.

I am trying to steer away from giving 'money or a check'
I want to make sure that my Goddaughter gets it, if you know what I mean.
I wasn't sure if I should get her a braclet or something.
But these ideas are great! Thanks!

I did give my godson and my other niece $$ for their communions, but I also got them the communion "set" from a religious supply store. They have a small mass book they can use to follow along with in church, rosary beads, a scapular and I think prayer cards. It has a little case that it all fits into. We all got these from my grandparents when we made our communions and I wanted to carry on the tradition.
I also got my niece an angel necklace.
