Soundproofing
How do i soundproof a door and a room? I cant sleep at night because the upstairs tenants are so LOUD, or actually because the walls are so thin. i am on a pretty limited budget.

Are you asking about soundproofing the ceiling or the walls? If they are upstairs from you, I'm not sure if soundproofing the walls would have much effect. The simplest method for the walls would be to hang heavy fabric or rugs on the wall. It would make the walls look nice, as well as block some of the sound, plus not take too much time, money, or holes in the wall.

Carpet the floors. That's what we did cause DH plays the drums. I can now be downstairs in the LR while he's playing upstairs and there's no issue.

her upstairs neighbors would need to put carpets down.. I don't think there is anything you can do! We had noisy upstairs neighbors too when we were living in our apt, it was awful. Sometimes I could hear them SNORING in the middle of the night.
