pet peeve
it drives me insane when people spell my first name wrong.
how hard it is to remember that there in an E at the end of my name!
tonight I was supposed to sign a huge pile of cerficates, but I noticed that my name was spelled wrong on them, so I didnt sign them.
The committee is going to be pizzed, but it's my name!
I emailed the guy in charge of the certificates tonight, but tomorrow is my day off, so i have a feeling i'm going to have a lot of emails and phone calls to deal w/ on thurs....
sorry for the vent.

I don't blame you. People ALWAYS spell my name wrong. It drives me crazy.
When I was a kid (12, maybe?), I got an autograph from John Stamos, who was at the height of Uncle Jesse fame. He spelled my name wrong - I told him and asked him to do it over! He did, but I tossed the autograph a few years later anyway.

I have the opposite problem...I have no "e" at the end of mine, but people seem to think I need one.
Good for you for saying something...I HATE when people (especially at work) do not spell my name correctly.

You should have my name...forget leaving off a letter - noone can seem to figure out what my name even is. I have seen so many variations it's not even possible to remember them.

DW and I both get that often. My name is Shawn, and more often than not I get Sean.  I usually try and spell it for them before they start writing, but a lot of times I'm not there to tell them, so a lot of people assume it's the *other* spelling.

Try having one person spell your name wrong two different ways 
I get Cristine or christene.
It's an easy name and I have worked here for 13 years.

People always spell my name wrong. It is Jodi but I always get Jody or Jodie. One of my fathers cousins still to this day does it!!!!

I can't stand when people call me Kate. I mean, it's a nice name - but it's NOT mine!
When people call me Kate I just don't answer them....
Might as well call me Frank - that's not my name either!

I hate that people say my last name wrong..even AFTER I correct them.

They pronounce it Pay Gen ...and it's not pronounced that way!!!! There is no hard A in the name and I am not a devil worshiper!!
The best way I can write how it's pronounced is Pah-Gone

His name is Bryan!
Im sure he will get a lot of Brians.
DH and I love the "Ryan' spelling of it.
He's only 3 months, but, when he is older, Im sure he will tell people how it goes...LOL he already is the boss of our house.
My husbands name is Gregory..Everyone calls him Greg, but they all spell it Gregg! He gets so pizzed!

Another is...people calling me Miss L, or Michael when I say my name. UMM it's MICHELLE people!!! Crazy as it may sound..I've had to repeat it several times before they get it..and I finally started saying it Mushell..and they say..OH Michelle. DUH!!!
