I have a dilemma!

DH and I have been dealing with a real estate agent for over a month in an attempt to get a house that we both love. We have been going back and forth with the owner on the price, and they finally got close to the price that we want to pay, but it is about 5k more than our top of the line price. I decided that I was going to ask if they would meet us in the middle, which was sure that they would do.
HOWEVER, my father who likes to be in control of everything, took the liberty without asking me, to call the owner of the real estate agency, who he is friendly with, and tried to haggle with him about the price. Now, my problem is that I feel bad that my father had to go over the agent's head and take matters into his own hands. I am worried that I might lose the house now b/c my father had to be pushy. Thoughts? Any REA out there who have had this happen to them? Should I be worried? Should I call the agent, or is that disrespectful to my dad? AHHHH! I am so stressed and nervous!

I would say, contact your REA and apologize. Explain the situation and how your dad tends to be. If anyone was being disrespectful in this situation, it was your father. IMHO, he really had NO business calling anyone without even consulting you and your DH first.

I am so tempted to call him, but I am afraid that by calling him I am being disrespectful to my dad. He honestly just had our best interests at heart, even if he went about it the wrong way. He is a hot blooded old school Italian with a bad temper when he is disrespected. I just really don't want to lose this house!
