Why do people----.
Why do people find it so odd that my DH is happy to be having another little girl?
When ever someone asks and we tell them its another girl there is always one that say "oh maybe u can try for the boy next".

I don't know. I think too many people are still focused on boys, or think all men need a son.
DH says he really doesn't care what we have, and I believe him. We're both more concerned about the baby's health than sex.
I think it's lovely your DH is happy to have a girl!

I think it is strange too...we are not finding out what we are having, but DH said he would like to have a girl--and people look at him like he has 5 heads! I think it is sweet, that he would be so excited for a girl! I think people just assume that men want a little boy.

I can understand that people would assume that a man wants to have a son. I know my DH does. Try not to take it personally. You know your DH is happy and that is what counts.

thats so funny...my dh gets the same crap..he is so proud of having a little girl..and even said if our next baby is a girl than he would be content with just 2...i dont know if its men saying these comments..but mostly men say them to my dh..i just think most men cant handle girls

So old fashioned.
I told my neighbor yesterday that we are having a boy and right away he said "Atta' boy Nick!" Like it was a huge accomplishment.

DH can't understand why everyone tells him how happy he is that he finally has "his" boy - ge loves being a dad to girls, and loves being a dad to Cailen too - it has nothjing to do with gender!

people are so weird. Since we have a son I get a lot of I bet your hoping for a girl.
My response is Actually no.....just a healthy baby. I think secrfetly I am hoping for another boy.

I don't know, but someone at work recently said to me "I hope you have a boy - every man should have a son". This is going to be our only child & my DH as two daughters already - all of which she know, but she said it anyway. I just ignored her!
