The technicalities of employment are so annoying

I'm SO excited for the new job I was just offered. Thing is, the offer is contigent on a background check and as of Tuesday, 2/3 of it has been done and one part is still pending. It's such a minor technicality and I realize it's policy and procedure, but the waiting is killing me. I just want to be done with it -- sign my offer letter, give notice and move on.
