Why would anyone think

that it was ok to call a complete strangers house @ 9:30 on a weekday?????

Ive been calling about several different house rentals the last few days- exploring all of our options before we renew our lease for another year...

I spoke with this one woman yesterday around 7...

Well my phone rings just now and its her... I guess she totally forgot we spoke yesterday and that we set up an apt. Helloooo lady get your head outta your azz!!!!

Not for nothing- but why would you ever assume that it would be ok to make that kinda call that late on a weeknight?

Maybe its me- but if I dont know its "ok" to call.. I dont call anyone before 10am or after 8/8:30 (maybe a little later on the weekends...)

I wouldnt think anything of 9:30, but after that maybe, I think calls should be made between 10 and 10

9:30 is still early in our house,but each house is different. MY house is in fullswing until about 10:30, but since you are in a small space I could imagine that a ringing phone would wake up RJ.

Ehhh...part of me thinks I would be mad, but part of me definitely doesn't get mad because the phone doesn't wake Ava, anyway. Plus, people call me all the way up until 11, as it is. I used to think it was a big deal until I realized it doesn't wake Ava up.

I don't think 930p is late - but I don't have kids

I would call someone early quicker than I would call someone late though

If the wrong rang out at 8-9a I would not think anything of it, if the phone rings after 11p I get nervous

I dunno- someone who knows me and calls at 9:30 is one thing... but a complete stranger- I just think its rude...

DH and I are both out the door by 6:30am- both him and DS have been snozzing since 8

I don't answer the phone after 9 sometimes 8:30 depends on how tired I am. Everyone has their own phone rules.

I think after 10 is rude. The only person(s) to call here after 10 are my mother and MIL. My mom is really good and calls before 10 knowing that DS is in bed by 9:30 usually.
I'd be pizzed if a stranger called after 10.

I try to ask family and friends to limit their calls to between 9 AM and 11 PM.

In the situation you describe, I can see where someone would call later in the evening to arrange an apt showing. They probably can't conduct these calls during business hours and that leaves a small window in the evenings depending on their work schedule.

Of course since you already set something up with her, that's a whole different story.

we get telemarketing calls all the time up until 10 pm and it is so annoying. They usually call from India or another country but c'mon they do have clocks there too

I think it is late, after 9 is my total relaxation time and don't want to be bothered with phones ringing loud tv's or loud people.

Anything before 11pm is fine by me, after that when the phone rings I worry...but I don't have kids...

I personally would not call someone I didn't know after 8pm.
