Ever feel like you should have been born
a different race/culture???
I SWEAR I am MORE Spanish then I am...I just love rice and beans WAY to much to be Italian! 
Not to mention spanish dancing....

Its not exactly a race- but we are Jewish and my DH is Jewish- of Middle Eastern descent and my family is from Europe. I love DH's culture's food and music- more than him and the rest of his family. My mom actually told me yesterday not to forget my roots!!

I'm a true mutt- wouldn't have it any other way. 
I have all of mainland europe in me, and FH has the irish, scottish, welsh, and english!
Our poor kids will have a LOT of work to do on "culture day" in elem school!

Many people have told me I should have been born Italian even though I'm 100% Irish. I really look Irish but I talk with my hands, I don't "not talk about things" and hope they go away (a stereotypical Irish trait)... I'd rather get it all out in the open, I'm more affectionate and definitely much more generous when it comes to gift giving than my Irish relatives
I'll also take a glass of red wine over a beer anyday

Ok, I don't know you well enough to comment the way I normally would to this one
I'm a mix too - which is why I can't stand when people are so much into their culture they can't tolerate anyone else's.
I used to think different era, but hearing about women earning less pay and taking care of the household -maybe I'll just stick with this decade & take the cars from the 20's & music from the 60's

I dont belong in NY at this this close to the city. I love animals and nature too much, I should be a country girl. Plus it is way too cold here for me.
