Visitor Question
My friend comes to visit each summer--always in July...so she was tossing some ideas around and it looks like July 14 would be good for her and 2 other of my friends as well(they all live near each other). I am due August 9th...do you think that is too close to my due date to have people staying with us? I mean, we have enough room at the house, just what if I give birth early?? This is my first baby--

Re: Visitor Question
Well it's almost 4 weeks before your DD. I'd worry more about what you are comfortable doing with them. You never know how mobile you'll be at that point.
I have 6ish weeks to go right now & I think that if I had to entertain right now I might be too tired......do you guys have a backup plan for them if you cannot?

Re: Visitor Question
They are my college roomates--they have all been to my house before and are cool with lounging by the pool during the day...most of the times they come, this is what we do...and of course go out to eat. I may be having a BBQ at my house that weekend anyway, so all of the other people could entertain them as well....hmmmmm

Re: Visitor Question
With 8-9 wks to go... I cannot see myself walking around and doing stuff with my friends. Unless they want to hang out in the backyard with me.
I thought I would have been so much more mobile than I am. My feet swell right away when I stand and walk is not pleasurable.
Just something to consider. You won't know how you feel that late in your pregnancy

Re: Visitor Question
I think it is very personal. I mean, I had my shower at 37.5 weeks and I was SHOT the next couple of days. I could barely move the day after.
I also think had I still been working (which was the original plan) I would NEVER have even been able to get up and go to my shower, and I am serious. Late pregnancy is very difficult on the body and I am sure it is even tougher in the heat.
