NC: furniture mecca?

Has anyone had bad experiences with calling in an order for name brand furniture down south?

Some of the prices we are getting seem too good to be true. I'm pretty skeptical. I will do some research on BBB too - but I figured this would be a good way to start.

Re: NC: furniture mecca?

Specifically High Point, yes...its the Furniture Capital of the world...there are also a few furniture outlets in Thomasville and other surrounding places...most places sell wholesale...but a lot of the smaller places will not ship oos, typically you will have to go to a bigger company, which will have high prices like Furnitureland South...huge selection, just overpriced for NC

We just ordered from Allman's Home furniture in NC. They have been great so far. I will let you know when we get our furniture.

My parents have ordered a number of things - new dining room set, couch etc.

They spent thousands less than they wanted in the stores here. The items they purchased were top quality brands so that might have made a difference.

There was a minor problem with one or two things they were addressed quickly (chair was replaced) and no problems after that. They said actually they had better experience with the companies down there than they have had with place in NY.

Some places are better than others though - so just do some research.
