Places for Christening
Our baby will be christened on July 14th. At first, I just assumed we would have a party in our backyard. But the party will be at 3:00---and my husband said that we shouldnt risk July weather in the heat of the day. So now we want to have it at a hall. Does anyone know of any halls where I can bring everything (I will have it catered and bring my own drinks). I live in western suffolk, the christening is in eastern nassau. If anyone knows of any places, and even the prices, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Milleridge Inn & George Washington Manor are both in E. Nassau and affordable.
Also- Guy Anthony's Buon Appetito is affordable- they are either in Bellmore or Merrick..

Thanks ladies, but I am not looking for a restaurant. We will have 100+, so I wanted to just have it catered.

George Washington Manor has a restaurant and private rooms which is catering.
Are you looking to bring your own caterer?

Look up and VFW Hall..or perhaps a Knights of Columbus...
Did you think perhaps of tenting the backyard? Most of the companies can provide you with everything that you will need..and they would probably run you the same price as renting the hall itself..

That's what I was going to suggest if you just want to rent a hall.
VFW in Farmingdale or Hicksville.

The Knights of Columbus in Bellmore is really nice. We went to a christening there and it was really nice.

I would do the tent thing! Honestly in the summer I would much rather be outside. I hate when we get invited to things (showers, christenings, etc) and are cooped up in doors. JMO.

We actually have very big tents for our back yard. We bought them for our engagement party. But we are nervous about the heat that day...its right in the middle of the day...we figure renting a hall will be better because there will be A/C.
