DVR people!
I just got a new box today!! We have had it for awhile and have been having problems.. I found out today that the one we had was recalled! 
Anyway we got a really nice new box that is much better then the last one 
The service tech. told us to call every 6 months or so to see if a new one is out.. they update them often

They are WELL worth it. Time Warner DVRs are pretty much the same as the Cablevision DVR.
The only issue with them is... they act like little mini computers. They have a hard drive... and in time the drive may give you issues (like locking up - just like a PC can). When this happens... just call the cable company and they will replace it for you free of charge.

We just got DVR on Saturday and love it! However, we got the old box b/c they were out of the new box when we got there. If we have trouble with this one, we will exchange it for a new one.

Not sure how much it is a month, since we have alot of movie packages, and also the high speed internet on the same bill. I know the box is $8 a month.
Is cablevision cheaper?? we might have to switch then!

Cablevision is not available in Queens. You can get either Time Warner... or *maybe* RCN.
The DVR is usually around $9 a month.

It is avaliable through Cablevision. I've had it since January. It's $10/month per box. Ironically, the drive on our blew yesterday and I had to swap it out for a new box this morning.

Anytime!! Our new box is really nice and much faster!! Its actually also different with some aspects, but in a better upgraded way
