Here comes another Freddy bulletin
Went in the afternoon to see him. The moved his room back to a 2 bed room. I guess there were too many of us in the room so the other bed complained. Also, it's a female and she was concerned about being in the same room as a man. Well, there is a curtain..
Anyway, we took shifts. Freddy was really sweating and umcomfortable. Found out he was running a fever. He told the nurse he didn't feel good. Then he said F*ck. Well, that's my brother..he's in there.
We shaved him so his dressings could stay on him better but poor guy was just a sweaty mess. The ward there is very warm. So I went out and bought a clip on fan and I hope they let me use it for him. The nurses said they wish all of them would get afan. My brother is a guy that uses the a/c in the winter. On top of that he had a 101 fever! From what we don't know.
He is tolerating being off the vent just fine and they may even move him to another area out of respiratory ICU..regular room somewhere. They won't be on him as much since the ratio of nurses to patients is not as good. I really think he needs lots of care right now and I hope they keep him somewhere that he can get the attention he needs. Maybe it will be ok. He was alert today and the nurse supervisor said that a good rehab place will help with all his deficits. She told me to hang in there and that I've been a great sister. She even told me how pretty I was (I heart her). I threw the compliment right back too.
Mom and dad went with me too and although mom is handling it ok, dad is having a rough time and realy couldn't stay in the room. I know it's hard. I get a knot in my gut everytime I go. My sister in law told me that she feels it's an opportunity to see how he's doing, meaning better.
I guess things are the same for now..good thing..for now.

So, Freddy said F*ck. Life is good!!! Seriously, I understand that it can be music to your ears to hear him say that. That's horrible about him being so uncomforably hot, though. I hope that gets better soon.
