poor little thing
I grew up right around here. back in the '80's I used to call it the "dirty water" lol. it's cleaned up now, but still NG for a baby whale.

I'm totally terrified of whales.
Like to the point that I can't even look at pictures of them in books, but I felt sad that he died.

oh yes, it is MUCH cleaner than it was when I was a wee lass.

When we left Brooklyn they were just starting kayak or riverboat rides on the Gowanus. TEAM RED HOOK!
