I wonder if he thought about that fact that no one is truly going to understand what made him do this....
he talks about Jesus Christ and other religions in his video and at one point compares himself to Jesus... but the more I watched it, the more I realized that even though he died and killed people (which is awful and I am in no way downplaying)- NO ONE will understand why... why didn't he just reach out for help?

yea, when he compared himself to Jesus Christ i got even more ****** off! Christ died FOR life...he didnt take life away!!!

Exactly. Everyone wants to know why he did it and that's because we want some sense of closure and if we come up with a reason then that makes us feel safe. But the truth is he was a very disturbed person and that was why he did it. You can only get help when you're ready for it. He wasn't ready. Why did he go on a rampage? The exact reason will probably never be known. But we need to just understand that this was a sick individual and he snapped. That's why he did this.

exactly! he doesn't see that what he did "proves" NOTHING! the real "revenge" on these people would have been to stand up for himself, get the help he needed and gone on to live a happy, successful life.....
a little sidenote- my DH is an engineer.. and was always the "nerdy" kid growin up- he got some REALLY, REALLY hurtful things said to him ( just as it sounds like this boy did). but my DH always said, he felt the best "revenge" is that now he is happy and sucessful, while the kids who teased him are still stuck in the high school mentality....

I agree- I just think it's so sad that he didn't even realize what he did. He gave up his life and ended so many others..... and gained nothing from it.
I too loathed school growing up- due to my PCOS I was heavier than the "in crowd" and had hairier arms/legs... and face it, kids can be awful. I fear my children someday having to go thru that (if I EVER HAVE ANY!!!!!  ) I always tell my friends that i couldn't stand 97% of my classmates when I graduated high school... but the real satisfaction is getting past that and moving on- and "Showing them" for lack of a better phrase- but by bettering myself, not but hurting anyone else.
Any why is he getting all of this attention on the air? What about the people he killed- why arent their life stories on???????

He was mentally sick...
The victims stories are on. I saw them on GMA this morning also on aol and the daily news ETC ETC ETC thier stories are on..
