Yes I have, just recently actually. I'm a huge believer in speaking up and letting your voice be heard if you have concerns about something. Simply complaining about it won't solve anything.

Oh man do they ever!! My DH answers all sorts of phone calls, letters & people stopping by!!! (his internship is with a Congressman right now!!)

Yes, I've been getting the run around from the state over errors on both kids birth certificates for over 7 months now, so I sent a letter to the governor. It's been 2 months and all I've gotten is a letter from his office telling me they are "looking into it".
This reminds me that I need to fire off another letter.

Yes I have. I had to write to the legislature about 3 bills that were trying to be passed into law with relation to social change or social issues. I had to do this for my undergrad program. For each letter I wrote, I got a response back. It was actually a pretty interesting process.

ahh, I see I'm in very good company
It's very interesting actually. I don't do it all that frequently but when I do, it's always interesting to me to see who responds and who doesn't. Sometimes, the person I least expect a reply from does and the one I thought was a shoe in I get nothing from.

Yes and I have encouraged clients to do it many times. FYI, Hillary Clinton's office is one of the best responders. Some of my local Congresspeople could care less.
