Need Help For a Boy's Name
My DH and I come from families that are predominantly male, so basically every name that we like has already been taken and I don't want our son to have the same name as anyone else in the family. The names that we are leaning towards, or more like the ones that we can agree on is Michael and Alexander. I like Michael more but I feel like it is so common, even though I prefer traditional names. Which name would you pick?

i like alexander better. i always like alex for a nickname.
even though michael is "popular" i really don't even think its as common as it was in the 80's and 90's.

Michael was the most common boys' name for something like 30 years. I chose Alexander. I do like both names though.

I like them both but would choose Alexander cause my BIL is Alejandro and goes by Alex, so I'm biased.
I dont think the fact that a name is common should stop you, if you really like it.

go with what YOU like best. You are the one who will be saying the name many times a day and looking at your child every day.
Anyway - Michael is coming down in rank, while Alexander is going up.
