How much swearing....
Goes on in your office? And by whom?
In my office everyone and the fricking postman swears at EVERYTHING. I agree, I do it as well, I enjoy it. But I was wondering how accepted this was in offices in the states (keeping in mind that I live in a country where the C-U-Next-Tuesday word is hardly an insult and calling someone a co.ck is a regional greeting) So how acceptable is it for you to swear in front of your boss and/or co-workers.

I try not to swear at work. However the Lunch table is exempt
I don't think you project a great professional image if you are dropping f-bombs all over....JMO

My boss (who is a director) can't control the stuff that comes out of his mouth!! It makes for very entertaining staff meetings and "sayings" that live on in infamy!!!

First of all, your post cracked me up...
Secondly, I don't hear much swearing. Every now and again. I think its more frowned upon than anything, although I sound like a truck driver when I'm home!!

I work with all men - so they are pretty much swearing all day long
I will sometime say the "s word" but I have never dropped an F-bomb. It's actually an ongoing thing in my office. The guys try to make me say it b/c I never do. When I'm home - that's a different story.

The saleguys- and quite often. Potty mouth ivy-leaguers cursing in their "proper" & preppy english. They sound rediculous.
