feeling guilty
i stayed home sick from work yesterday because i wasn't feeling well, headache off/on , REALLY tired, really busy weekend, the weather etc. and i would have left work early to go to dr. appt. anyway. l got home from doc at about 6ish and almost felt feverish. feel l ike i had night sweats all night and woke up with pounding headache, hurt to lift head of pillow, DH got me a heating pack. anyway i just called in to work again and now i feel guilty using another sick day - i've used 4 out of 10 for the year so far (i also use them in 1/2 days for ultrascreen, dr. appts. etc.) because my dr is all the way uptown and doesnt have later hours

Re: feeling guilty
I agree. It is so bad for you to push yourself right now. Listen to your body...it will tell you when you need to rest & need to heal. Feel better!

Re: feeling guilty
thanks - my DH tells me i don't know how to relax or sit still. i'm trying to make a conscious effort to make "me" and lazy time now because as someone said once a baby is here those days are over forever. i think the headaches must be hormonal fluctuations. its just hard to relax because i dread seeing what my desk will be like tomorrow my boss is the type who "saves" everything for me and anytime i'm out he suddenly needs everything "right away"... ugh

Re: feeling guilty
Aw, I know that feeling. I hate calling into work sick, mostly because I feel like they're not going to believe me!
DH always has to reassure me that "if your sick, your sick" ...everyone gets sick and you shouldnt feel bad about it. Your given sick days for this reason!!
I took like 11 sick days already (and we are only given 5!) for my bleeding/bedrest and some other sick days before that. I was feeling so guilty but thats what your sick days are there for and you can't help it!! You have good intentions and its not like your taking advantage...I know its hard but don't stress about it.

Re: feeling guilty
Dont feel guilty....it is better for you and the baby to stay and rest--you dont want to stress yourself or your baby...best to get rest...and I am sure your job understands.
