LIRR'ers: Expect delays
Please see www.mta.info, or below, for details on PM Rush hour service advisory. The LIRR is expecting delays of 15-to-20 minutes out of and into Penn Station during this evening's rush hour. Additionally, we anticipate canceling and combining some eastbound trains from Penn Station due to a high-water condition outside of an East River tunnel in Queens from the record rainfall,
We will be operating evening rush hour service from #1 Track at Hunterspoint Avenue, however not all Hunterspoint Avenue departures will operate. A full listing of evening rush hour canceled/combined trains will be available prior to the evening rush hour.
The LIRR, along with Amtrak, New Jersey Transit, and the New York City Fire Department have deployed numerous pumps at the high water locations and have been pumping water throughout last evening, the overnight and throughout the day today, however the high water is still affecting our ability to use one of the East River tunnels and some switches in Queens outside the tunnels.
Customers are advised to monitor our website for further updates and/or listen to media updates concerning evening rush hour service.

Just got the email. For those that don't have access:
e will be operating evening rush hour service from #1 Track at Hunterspoint Avenue, with the exception of the following train:
- The 5:29 PM from Hunterspoint Avenue to Ronkonkoma is canceled. Customers will take the 5:47 PM Port Jefferson train from Hunterspoint Avenue to Jamaica, where they will connect with a Ronkonkoma train.
The following Penn Station eastbound trains will be canceled and combined:
- The 4:12 PM from Penn Station to Massapequa Park will be combined with the 4:21 PM from Penn Station to Freeport making Rockville Centre and all stops to Massapequa Park.
- The 4:22 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington will be combined with the 4:25 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making Woodside and all stops to Port Washington.
- The 4:34 PM from Penn Station to Babylon will be combined with the 4:37 PM from Penn Station to Wantagh making Rockville Centre and all stops to Babylon.
- The 4:43 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington will be combined with the 4:46 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making all stops to Port Washington.
- The 4:57 PM from Penn Station to Wantagh will be combined with the 5:01 PM from Penn Station to Freeport making Rockville Centre and all stops to Wantagh.
- The 5:11 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington will be combined with the 5:14 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making Bayside and all stops to Port Washington.
- The 5:19 PM from Penn Station to Wantagh will be combined with the 5:27 PM from Penn Station to Freeport making all stops to Wantagh.
- The 5:20 PM from Penn Station to Long Beach will be combined with the 5:23 PM from Penn Station to Long Beach making Jamaica, Locust Manor, Laurelton, Rosedale and all stops to Long Beach.
- The 5:26 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington will be combined with the 5:29 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making all stops to Port Washington.
- The 5:50 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck will be combined with the 5:56 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making all stops to Great Neck.
- The 5:40 PM from Penn Station to Seaford will be combined with the 5:47 PM from Penn Station to Freeport making Rockville Centre and all stops to Seaford.
- The 6:05 PM from Penn Station to Wantagh will be combined with the 6:10 PM from Penn Station to Freeport making Rockville Centre and all stops to Wantagh.
- The 6:11 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington will be combined with the 6:14 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making all stops to Port Washington.
- The 6:33 PM from Penn Station to Babylon will be combined with the 6:36 PM from Penn Station to Wantagh making all stops to Babylon.
- The 6:24 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington will be combined with the 6:42 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making all stops to Port Washington.
- The 6:59 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington will be combined with the 7:14 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making all stops to Port Washington.
