I am in the market for a new vaccuum and was wondering if anyone could recommend one. We have two dogs and they shed but not too much.

Re: Vaccum Reco.

We spent the extra money and got the Dyson Animal - We love it!!
We have the Hoover Windtunnel 2 before and it broke 3 months after we got it.

And we got it at Bed Bath and Beyond - 20% off Chat Icon

Ets - we have a golden retriever that sheds like crazy and it works great with her hair

The dogs don't shed as much as a GR, but I am sure DH will want the dyson if I let him pick, lol.

Did that come with a floor attachment? How much is the animal? Is there a number associated with that. I see on Costco.com they have a dc15 and so on.

We have an Animal as well, and although I've never used it, Patrick looooooves it! He vaccuums twice a day sometimes, just to use it.Chat Icon

And yes, it does come with a floor attachment. I think it's $499 at Target

I just bought the Fuller Canister and love it!!!!

I can not justify spending that much on a Dyson no matter how good it is. JMOChat Icon

This is the one I got
External Image

It is the DC17 - it was $549 in Bed, Bath and Beyond - got it for $440.

I didn't want it - but we have been through 3 vaccums in 3 years - DH had enough.

Re: Vaccum Reco.

If you do a search on vacuums, you'll find tons of threads about it. The short synopsis is that the Dyson is good, but there are much better vacuums out there for half the price or less.
