Is this true???

We went to BRU this weekend to order our crib and see how long it would take to come in..and we were told 7-14 business days? They also recommended we order EVERYTHING together because they charge you $80 for delivery. That part I believe..but the part about it coming in 2 weeks I'm having a very hard time believing. She checked to see if they had it in stock and they did..but still. They also said the dresser and armoire come in a box already set up..but the crib you have to put together??? Chat Icon

Re: Is this true???

we ordered our crib from BRU and it was in stock 4 days later - we picked it up at the store and put it together ourselves - took around 20 minutes - it was really easy.

Re: Is this true???

We ordered ours from BRU and it came in about 8-10 days.

All our furniture, crib, and dressers etc all had to be put together.

Re: Is this true???

Well we ordered our furniture from BRU on 3/3 paid in full. Although the furniture was in stock, we did not have access to a truck to pick it up ourselves. So we chose to have it delivered from the warehouse and pay the $80 delivery charge. It was supposed to come 2 weeks later on 3/18.

After several phone calls, complaints to supervisors and managers and a letter to the head of company, our furniture was just delivered on 4/11, over a month wait!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

My lesson with BRU is to buy it and pick it up yourself.

What I'm also wondering is why she told us the dresser and armoire would come assembled already with a box over it?? I've never heard of such a thing.

Same here. We got our furniture from Buy Buy Baby, but the dresser and armoir were already assembled, minus the knobs.

The crib was the only thing that needed to be put together.

We were told the same thing!! My 7 days is up tomorrow, so we will see. But, they checked and said it was in the warehouse in NJ. We are going to pick it up in the store because we were told it would cost $153 to have it shipped to East Hampton!! But they did advise getting it all together as well. I can't wait!

We got out furniture from BRU...it all came in less than 2 weeks. The changing table and armoire were all set up, just needed to be taken out of the box. The crib needed to be set up.

Re: Is this true???

I'm totally the minority here.. I ordered my furniture from BRU, but they told me it would take 10-12 weeks! which is what we wanted, so no problems.

The Glider was in 3-4 days, but, we want everything delivered at once, so they're holding it for us until the rest of the order is in.

The dresser/armoire are already assembled and the crib, they will assemble for us when it's delivered (well, so they say).

At least now, the room is painted and ready for the furniture. Chat Icon
