Willl I ever get a BFP?

Kind of excited to be going onto the next step, but scared as heck out of my mind to tell u the truth. I have a fear of doctors big time- never had blood taken out of my arm, always out of my hand.... so I am a big chicken with that too.... Will I ever become someone's Mommy? Sorry to be such a downer, it feels like I am never going to get pregnant and everyone else has kids. I have always wanted children from the time I was a kid myself.

Considering that many of the women on this board have been through numerous IUIs, IVFs, blood tests, sonograms, injectables.....not sure this is the right place to ask that question..

You will need to get over that fear BIG TIME and FAST.....I dont know your exact protocol but likely blood being drawn will be an "often" event....

I think we have all been your shoes and felt the way you are now...

Many of us still are.

I am a lucky one who was blessed but not after 2 years of struggle and tests and treatments etc....

But those that have been here before me and still are here will tell you....you must have hope. A little self pity is good for the soul every now and again, but to survive this journey sane....learn to give in to it, and then fight like hell to get past it.

this journey challenges you to do more than you ever thought you could, or that you ever thought you would have to.

Welcome and I hope that your stay will be short! It is a long and hard journey. One which challenges you to question yourself, treatment, will power, & desire.

You will give blood often and have more internal sonograms then most people. You will loose some modesty! You will take medication that may make you gain weight, have mood swings, and have night sweats!

But in the end, when you get a BFP, it will be all worth it!!!!!!!!!

Know that there are women here who will support you through the journey and some may even be on the same journey at the same time!

I can't add anything to what has already been said. This is one tough journey and at times it hurts like hell. I'm not being sarcastic (unusual for me!) but needles will be the least of your worries. You have to try to stay strong and keep your chin up, we all have crappy days and this is a great place to get support, answers & hugs

Will I ever be a Mummy? Who the hell knows, I hope so, at least I can go to my grave saying that I tried everything humanly (& medically!!!) possible to try to make it happen.

This journey is a tough one- ups and downs. I have felt the way you do now. ( you are definitely not alone)

I used to be the biggest scaredy cat going to the dr, but as others have mentioned ,you just cope with the visits and get through it.

I wisj you the best of luck on your journey and hope that you graduate from this baord soon

It's hard dealing with IF and trust me....I think everyone of us has overcome some medical fear after this journey. I know I have....after a while the needles, sonograms and numerous invasions of privacy down there don't even become a major concern knowing that in the end it will all be worth it.
