homeowners quote
Hi,just sseing how the quote I got compares to others. Homeowners quotes have been hard to get. Does $1200 a year for a large cape (4br/2full baths) in western suffolk with sound like a lot to you or reasonable? Any opinions appreciated. Thanks.

Depends..on pretty much everything!
Homeowners is based on replacement cost value.
The premium is based of that number plus, the addtional endorsements or coverage and different deductibles that are offered.

I pay a little less than that (maybe $900) in western nassau for a 3 bed/2 bath. my replacement costs are $260K. HTH!

A lot of compaines are pulling out of the New York Area...Our Homeowners Insurance went up to about that upon renewel...
