Some more fun with google map directions

So after the good laugh I had with the NY to paris/london directions I played around a little with it. I found it interesting how they had you drive all the way to Boston to start your swim so I put Montauk as my starting point and they still have you drive to Boston but if you zoom in on the map did you happen to notice how they have you drive from Long island to connecticut?

This actually came up in our managers' meeting during a break. I guess Long Wharf is either further east than Montauk or it's the jumping point from the United States.

Also note we can only swim to Europe. Japan & the Caribbean don't seem to be options.

The ferry is technically part of 495 (LIE) Most highway coming off of route 95 have 95 in them. If the first digit is odd, it should only have one connection to 95 (195, 395). If the first digit is even it should have both ends attached to 95 (295, 495). 495 was supposed to go all the way to Montauk, then the ferry was supposed to be a part of that, ending at route 95 again.

(Not sure where I've heard it, and I can't find it online, but I've heard it years ago, and it seems to make sense, so take the above statements with a grain of salt... and a little lime and lots of tequila... )
