Is this strange?
DH and I both had a dr. appointment at the same time in the same office this afternoon.
When the nurse called us in, she called the both of us at once and proceeded to place us in the SAME exam room!
We told her that we would like separate rooms and she huffed out of the room and said to another nurse "Ugh - they don't want to be in the same room. What's open?"
Don't get me wrong - I love DH with all my heart, but I like my privacy when I go to the doctor.
Thoughts on this?

I wouldn't mind if dh and I were in the same room. I would think it to be fun, actually! I can just picture him opening up the drawers and making me try to crack up as we wait for the doc to come in.
What's odd about this is that they deliberately scheduled you both at the same time. Kill two birds with one stone, I guess? Hey, could you save on the co-pay if you do this? heheheh

I don't think it's odd to be in the same room as DH, but I think it's odd they didn't ask you if you'd mind. I mean, just as a courtesy, I would always ask.

umm....there's a thing they're supposed to abide by...
Patient Confidentiality !
not saying you'd want to keep anything from your dh regarding your health, but from the dr's standpoint, IMO it was completely inappropriate to put 2 patients in the same room, regardless of being husband & wife.

It was a dermatologist and we both had to get things removed to be biopsied. (sorry if TMI)
I don't know, maybe I'm more of a private person than most, but I just thought it was a little odd....
