Spin Off: How many doors...
leading outside does your house have?
Mine has 3 doors - front, off kitchen(side of the house) and den (back of house)

My parents house have three doors, front, back, and one from the garage (we used to go in from here).
The house we are purchasing has three as well.. front, side into the kitchen and then the sliding door from the deck in the backyard.

We have a front door and a back door (sliding doors) and then we have a door that leads from the attached garage into the garage. I'd like to put a regular door in the garage to give us another way out of the house (in addition to the garage door, which is a pain)

We have a front door and a back/side( in the back of the house but off to the side) wood french sliding glass doors( just got thanks to Karissa!!! thanks for that post I convinced DH it is safe!) entering to our patio and from the attatched garage, a door in the back of the garage too- that leads to the pool. we enter the attached garage by another door from in the house 5 feet from the front door ( in the foyer)- but thats a solid door, going right into the garage not outside.

Front door, back door and french doors off the dining room to the back deck. We also have a door in the lower level, but it leads to a garage.

Right now:
3 - Front, side into kitchen and back into
basement (this one is never used)
Whene construction is finished I will have:
4 - Front, side into kitchen from the deck,
back out of kitchen, french doors out back
in bedroom to small patio

Currently: Front door, sliding door in kitchen. ooh yeah, I forgot the basement barn door. The will be gone after the renovation.
After renovation we will have those two, plus a door from the media room into the glass sunroom, and also a door into the garage, and another from the mud room to the yard.

There is an attached garage but the door is outside and does not lead directly into the house.
