Recommend your Pediatrician...
I saw quite a few Pediatrician questions these last few days. I went through a friend and her is there info... I would higly recommend them.
RAINBOW PEDIATRICS (516) 764-3060
South Shore/Nassau County-Rockville Center
They are located in the Ryan Medical Arts Building in Mercy Hospital.
Dr. Neil Callindrillo Dr. SUsan McCarthy
They are opened 10-3, Monday to Friday 10-1 on Saturdays
They seem to be a little more conservative than my friends pediatricians, but I love them. They never turn down my phone calls-they either have me hold till they are done with a patient or always call right back. They aren't quick to medicate either.

Dr Caravella...Huntington..631-423-0444
He is actually in a group and they are all pretty nice...
He is fantastic and is technically a neonatologist, although practicing as a pediatrician...I put his skills to the test when my eldest was born...If it werent for her it probably would of been years and years before she was diagnosed...
My eldest daugther has Mosaic Down Syndrome..this defers from "regular" form of Down Syndrome in that only some of the cells are effected..so in a sense she is "part down syndrome and part normal". A lot of children with the mosaic form of Down Syndrome are not diagnosed until they start showing delays..(a lot of them dont look like they have down syndrome)....in my daughters case it wasnt until she was about 3 that you saw the language delays...(there is a pic of my daughter on my profile..ARIEL)
Dr Caravella, with his special training, caught it...and it was only a fluke that he was their the day she was born...all of the other doctors IN THE HOSPITAL thought he was nuts..BUT he was right!!! Thanks to him we got an early diagnosis and were able to start my daughter off right with Early Intervention Services...
She is 13 now going to Middle School...great all around kid.
