Mattresses - Kingsdown, any opinions?
RP from LIWeddings
DH and I are looking into purchasing a new mattress and I was wondering if anyone has any experience - good or bad - with Kingsdown at Sleepys. We really liked the way it felt in the store, but just wanted to know any info on the long term. Thank you!

I have a kingsdown and absolutely love it! It is the most comfy mattress I've ever owned. I've had it 3.5 yrs and no issues yet

Thank you so much!! Do you all know if yours are part of the "DormoDiagnostic" line. Thats what were are looking at and they seemed really comfy in the store, but you never know.

Re: Mattresses - Kingsdown, any opinions?
I love the kingsdown. The only mattress that I have ever owned that I liked more was the Dux/Duxiana (and really way too expensive). Sleepy's has great pricing for the Kingsdown too. I don't remember which model it was though
ETA: I just looked on their website & the one we had looks like the Dormo gold 43. (not sure if it was the same stock # then, but it was the ultra-plush top).

Cool, thanks! That's good to know b/c I think we saw that one and it was similar to the one we might get.

Someone had told me they filed Chapter 11 and be careful with this brand and you may not get what you want or no warranty will be available if they go under. A furniture vendor I deal with had told me this and that time I did find the info on the internet. But this was over a year ago - things could have changed.

Re: Mattresses - Kingsdown, any opinions?
We almost got the Kingsdown 43 but ended up with the Posture Temp Elite instead (it was really just a matter of whether we wanted innerspring or not).
I wouldn't worry about whether or not Kingsdown is in bankruptcy - I got my new mattress because of a problem with my old mattress that I got at Sleepy's about three years ago, and the company that made my old mattress is out of business. Sleepy's still honored the warranty.
