Oh my - I think I'm building a McMansion!
Definitely was not our intent but our house is difficult to expand in any way and have it look pleasing to the eye (it's a front to back split). So when we sat with the architect we were told it would be a tall building, but I didn't really visualize how tall. It was the only option to get the space we wanted inside. They are almost done framing and wow is it big. There are other large houses by us so it's not really out of place, but ours is probably one of the tallest, if not the tallest.
We had considered moving and now that we are going through this mess, we should have! We are living here during construction and it is very stressful. Can't wait until it's done. I'll post photos when I can.

awwwww I can understand the stress of living in a house during construction. It is not fun at all! I have been doing it for toooooo long!!!
