So I have discovered I am a PG snob
OK its not like I have snobbery toward less PG wpmen, or non PG women or anything evil like that. I do however find myself getting really irritated at people who push me out of the way to catch an elevator, or who see that I am PG & still let a heavy door slam in my face, or who see that I am not comfortable standing & will not offer up a chair.
DH says this makes me a PG snob.....
any one else with me?

Oh I am with you all the way! At the mall people always push past me or when they see me with my one year old walking to a table in the food court, they will rush past me to take it I swear one of these times someone is going to get hit, especially since I am getting to the point where each day I get more irritable by stupid people.

Re: So I have discovered I am a PG snob
It doesn't make you a snob at all!! If that's the case I'm sure 95% of pg woman would be considered a snob! I'm right behind you 100%

I back you up completely! Just yesterday I was in the grocery store and some lady would not move her cart to let me through, she acted as though I wasn't even there

Not PG but wanted to give you my 2 cents - doesn't make you a snob - it's called common courtesy!!

Re: So I have discovered I am a PG snob
I don't think this makes you a PG snob. I would have a problem with anyone who pushed me out of the way, didn't have the courtesy to hold a door open, or anything like that where or I am pregnant or not. I think common courtesy is severely lacking in a lot of people in general. I do, however, this it is extra rude to be disrepectful to a PG person.

Re: So I have discovered I am a PG snob
We were at J&Rs steakhouse 2 months ago, with another couple, who is also, just wasnt as far along as I was, and some womans beeper went off b/c her table was ready and she almost knocked me to the ground to get to the hostess desk. I thought DH and my friends DH were going to tackle the woman. I did get her back, when I elbowed her in the ribs...not one of my finest moments, but I blamed it on the baby

Nope doesn't make you a snob at all - it is just plain common courtesy and good manners to do what you are talking about. People have less and less manners these days.

Re: So I have discovered I am a PG snob
I told a man off at the post office just the other day for this!
He screamed, yelled and then pushed me out of the way b/c I was there first with my 20+ letters and he only had 2. He made me drop everything and of course didn't offer tohelp pick it up. I started ranting and raving like I had balls the size of basketballs at this man. i made him feel about 2 inches tall at best.
if he'd asked, i would've just let him go ahead of me anywya...i am used to the line!

Re: So I have discovered I am a PG snob
I'm with ya! Although I do know from personal experience that sometimes people just don't think. I remember a few months ago we were waiting for a table at a restaurant, DH and I and another couple we were with were sitting at the bar and there were people all around standing waiting for tables, the bar was full ...well behind us was a REALLY preggo girl standing rubbing her belly and I saw her and just turned around and kept drinking my drink...well, after a few minutes my friend was like "maybe one of us should get up and give her our seat" and it was only at that point that I realized that I was supposed to do that...it hadn't even crossed my mind before that (all I was thinking was aw, what a cute preggo!) I felt so bad that I hadn't even thought of that , but at that point our table was ready!!! I'm not proud!

Re: So I have discovered I am a PG snob
that's not being a snob at all. its common courtesy and class. it really makes me mad when i see people do these things - not only to pregnant women but to elderly people too. Its sooo sad. Good point to us to be sure to teach our kids not to do this - or else!!

Absolutely! It'd be like slamming the door on the elderly - I don't think they consider themselves senior snobs
People are just idiots!
