Realtor Contract
I have my house listed with an agent. Am I legally tied to this agent to sell my home? What happens if I want to tell them forget it and try to sell on my own or to a family member?
Any advice? TIA

Re: Realtor Contract
Did you sign a written agreement with the realtor?

Yes, but the contract has an error on it re: Commission Rate. Stupid me didnt notice till a week later and they have not provided me w/ a correct one even though I have asked for it several times now. Not sure if I should call my laywer.

What did you sign An exclusive right to sell agreement would mean that you will owe the agent a commission even if you sell the house on your own or to a family member.
You can always ask for a release from your contract though.

Re: Realtor Contract
That's definitely something you're lawyer needs to know -- I'd have your lawyer contact the realtor to get the new, corrected contract ASAP. You don't want to have someone make an offer while operating under a contract that has an error. Hopefully they will not make an issue out of it.
