Will Gap Maternity
take this back?
I bought a maternity sweater about a month ago - before i was showing. I wore it once this week and washed it and laid it flat to dry (washed on delicate/hand wash setting - I wash all my maternity clothes on delicate since not all are best made) and now there are 2 small holes in the sweater. I loved the sweater too - it was so comfy. I still have the receipt. I bought it in the city - 34th street..
It is this sweater in white...

hehe - didn't even think to do that...haha - maybe I should.
Just not in the mood for a fight and I am only in the city once a week if I am lucky these days....

From what I've heard in the past, it depends on the individual store manager. I'd take it to a local Gap and see what they say. The ones at the Gap in Willowood Shopping Center in Wantagh are always nice.

Yes they will exchange it! Especially if you have a receipt that shows that you purchased it a couple of months ago. I bought a pair of black jeans once (back in the days when they were in) and they faded after one wash...I bought them back and got store credit. They stand behind their products. I used to work for Banana Republic and their policy is the same.

They definitely will-
I went to the Gap one time wearing jeans I bought from them where the side seam was not straight down the leg. ( It actually looked like it was turning towards the bottom of the leg.)
I showed it to them and they asked me to bring the jeans back. I went back a week later and they exchanged them for a completely different pair. ( no receipt)

Thanks. I know they use to return stuff that was worn - I just wasn't sure since recently they made their return policy stricter...
