Irrational Fear . . . maybe?
I woke up today anxious because tomorrow DH & I go for our initial RE consultation. My brain kept telling me that we will be told to forget it, we can't have kids etc etc. When I fully woke up I told myself that I was scared for no reason, but I still haven't been able to shake that uneasy feeling. So, I figured I come here and post and I would feel better. Buuuuut, I get her and there is the scary post about the IVF with the wrong sperm, and now I'm really freaked out.

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow. It's totally normal to feel feaful but everything will be okay. This is the step you need to take to get your BFP!

Re: Irrational Fear . . . maybe?
Please, I've been seeing my RE since October, and now I'm fearing the injectables, that I won't produce enough eggs, that I won't produce any eggs, that I'm defective...the fears are perfectly normal. Just know that these doctors see lots and lots of people and make lots and lots of babies. You'll be fine, just try to stay positive and strong.
Good luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes!!

I think its normal to be a bit nervous, I would write down what questions you have so you don't forget to ask them while you are there.
Try not to be freaked out by the "wrong sperm" story it's not an every day occurance! I know it horriblle & freaky, but try to stay focused and think about what information you want to get from the appointment.
Good luck!

Re: Irrational Fear . . . maybe?
When I first went I was so scared he would tell me I can't get and/or stay pregnant. The doctor calmed me down and said even though I have quite a few things working against me not to worry. He can work around it and he will get me pregnant. To which my Fh replied "I thought that was my job" . The visit wasn't bad at all. He gave me all my options and it actually gave me hope. Good luck with your appointment
