Insurance question - BCBS
So I have BCBS of California (my company's headquarters are in LA) for my medical insurance...
It says that I don't have IVF coverage or any other ART procedures...but I have up to $20K lifetime infertility coverage...
I am very confused...what can the $20K cover??
TIA!

Re: Insurance question
Thanks ladies, this is what it says about my coverage..I am so confused..
Infertility Treatment
The Plan covers medical testing and services to diagnose infertility on the same basis as for any other illness. For prescription drugs used to treat infertility, the Plan will pay 50% of the covered expense.
The Plan’s maximum lifetime benefit for all charges incurred in connection with infertility testing or treatment is $20,000.
The Plan does not cover any services or supplies furnished in connection with sterilization reversal, artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, gamete intrafallopian transfer, or similar procedures.

Re: Insurance question - BCBS
Covers testing and services at 100% Covers IF meds at 50%(this can stink-some meds are expensive) Does not cover IUI or IVF-thats the way I read it.
