Prayers Please.... UPDATE
Tomorrow I go to the city to find out if its a BFN or BFP..but if i had to guess right now I swear that B I T CH is going to be here i just feel icky and bloated and very depressed and I cant stip eating....Oh well I guess I just have to wait! This may be such a DUMB Question but how do IUI's fail I mean if they see your little follies ...and they put the semen right there why does it not happen???????
UPDATE: I just took a HPT a BFN..should i still go into the city tomorrow morning? Ya know what I***** knew it I swear I'm just gonna take a xananx and call it a night

Sometimes the sperm just can't get through the egg.
Sometime the egg just isn't viable.
There are, unfortunately, lots of ways IUIs can fail.
But let's pray that NONE of them are the case for you!!!

This was the question I asked over and over again to my RE after several failed IUI's. Could be from one is not reaching the other.

Good luck tomorrow. As far as your question there is any number of reasons. Having an IUI is in no way a guarantee of success. Many have had IVF where the egg is already fertilized and it still hasn't worked, even with three or four embryo's implanted.
If the egg isn't viable, there's nothing that can be done.
