Am I being unreasonable?

I took my glucose test LAST Thursday (almost a week ago tomorrow)

I have called Dr. Hanauer's office EVERY DAY since then and they still don't have the results. They say that Lab Corp is very slow. At this point - I don't give a rats azz. I want my damn results.

The woman who answered the phone THIS MORNING said she would call the lab and find out for me. I still have not heard back. I don't want to be a stalker - I just want to know either way if I passed this test or not.

I don't think you are being unreasonable!

I am the same way... you expect certain things. If someone says they will call you back, you expect a call back... in the same day would be nice!

Hope you get the results soon!

I send DH for my "missions". I get impatient very quickly so he does my dirty work.

I would be mad too! My doctor's office is pretty slow on things like that, too. I just keep calling and calling til I get answers. I don't care if they get mad or not.

I dont think you are being unreasonable at all!! I think a week (or almost a week) is entirely too long for those results to be processed!!!

Dont be afraid to be annoying and keep calling. I'm sure there is someone out there who is way more annoying and calls way more often- so dont worry about it!

nope....But dont hold your breath, everytime I call for the results and its not in..Im told a few days later that the lab "lost" them. Has happened 3 times so far with the office...and two different labs.

I think they dont go through their lab results properly.

I am guessing that the results might be negative since it is taking so long. The only reason I say this is because when DS was since last month my ped. thought he had a UTI and I gave a urine sample to Quest Lab. and it took them a full week for the ped. to get the results. I was shocked and thankful he was fine but my ped. did say that they probably didn't rush because it was negative.
Did you try and call the lab yourself?

I don't think it's unreasonable. You have every right to be upset that it is taking so long.

I went to a LIJ location since my insurance doesn't work with Quest anymore. The woman there told me that the results would be in that night but considering it was a Saturday to give my doctor until Monday morning to review. I waited until Tuesday to give them a little time. Called at 9:00am and left a message. Called at 12 to follow up and they apologized profusely for the wait but confirmed that my results were in and they were just waiting for my doctor to authorize the release of the info. By 2pm they called and gave me a quick run down of the results (none of which I remember other than the words okay okay okay passed).

So considering my time frame - I would think that your results would have been in by Monday.

Call the Lab and ask them if your results were faxed. This is why I like Enzo-they have a patient info line and can tell you when your results were faxed.

When I was waiting for my official pregnancy results, I kept calling. I finally showed up at the lab myself. They said they just sent them out. So I showed up at the doctors office. I told them I'd wait until they found out and proceeded to sit in the waiting room.

Amazingly enough, they were able to find them quickly!! I read the note from my doctor congratulating me and telling me to stop my chemotherapy. It was dated 2 days prior.
