Has anyone gotten furniture reupholstered?
I'm thinking about buying a chaise that I found on craigslist, but I'd want to reupholster it and have no clue how much that would cost. Anyone have any idea?

I reupholstered my 6 dining room chairs through the Fabric Mill off of exit 48 on the LIE in Plainview...
I shopped around and they were the cheapest.. They have sooo many fabrics to choose from-- we were able to get fabric that goes with our living room furniture.. Of course though, I had to find the most expensive fabric at $50 a yard but I am very happy with the outcome..
I would definately use them again.

Unfortunately we're not in NY. Do you remember how much the labor was?

Re: Has anyone gotten furniture reupholstered?
Depending on the detail work of the chaise, I would think at least $150-200 just for labor.
I had a quote for a sofa for $600.00 for labor.
Where do you live?

I don't know about the pricing there. Sorry!

That's ok - I figured it would be at least a few hundred dollars for labor.

Re: Has anyone gotten furniture reupholstered?
I think it cost us no more than$300 for everything-- we brought them the cushions and saved money... and we really only need a yard and a half of fabric ---so I would say $75 for fabric and $225 for six cushions..
didn't realize you were in a different state...
I am sure it will be less where you are...

I did the same thing, and also bought the Fabric fraom the Fabric Mill. It was pretty easy to do. You could probably go there to get a price quote, but it also depends on the fabric you choose.
