TUMS
Ok...... This maybe a dumb question becouse I should no this by now but is it ok to take tums extra strength?? I'm dying over here with heartburn tonight!! Thanks ladies!!

I think any type of Tums are ok. I take way more than you are supposed to. I am pretty sure the only side effect can be calcium deposits on your kidneys, which I have been told are not painful.

Sure they are fine. Please drinks lots of water too though.

Well, unless they develop into a stone and lead to a kidney infection like I had after I gave birth to DD I was hospitalized for a week when DD was 3 weeks old and it was not fun. Painful! Hence my recommendation to drink lots of water too!

I take them pretty much every night bc of the heartburns...but I drink a lot of water afterwards.

I've been taking Maalox chewables (same ingredients as Tums) but I've been cutting back- my poor brother (who is 32) has stones and he's been in SO much pain. My dad and grandma had them too- so I worry that there's a genetic component.
Ginger ale helps me too, luckliy.

Thanks ladies!! I took the E S tums last night but it really didn't help.... I'll have try something else I just hate to take things while I'm pregnant
