Drs. Saad, Scarantino and Manna - Westbury

Has anyone heard of or used Drs. Saad, Scarantino and Manna of The Women's Healthcare Pavillion? They have offices in Westbury, Glen Cove and several locations in Queens. I am due in April and have been using them since a few months prior to conceiving and have been pretty happy with them. I just found out, after asking about how often each of the three doctors is on call for deliveries, that they also rotate with other doctors at LIJ, so you actually have a chance having about 5 other doctors you have never met deliver your baby. I am very upset and anxious about this. It is of course too late to switch practices, but I wonder if anyone has heard anything about these doctors and if anyone has heard of practices rotating in with other doctors from different practices affiliated with same hospital.

I am a patient of theirs, at the Howard Beach location. Never been to the Westbury location tho, just the ones in Queens. I am due in early May, but have been a patient there for a few years.

I was aware that they use LIJ, but was never informed of the potential of getting another of 5 Drs! I have an appt on Mon, will ask about this.

Hard to say "Don't worry" of course we want "our" dr to deliver our baby, but what is our choice? I mean if you end up going into labor when your Dr isn't on call, that's a chance to be taken. I can agree it's scary to have a virtual stranger um, in that region though.

I am so glad to find someone else who uses their practice! I actually have never been to the Westbury office either, I've been to Howard Beach and Richmond Hill, as we have just moved to Massapequa from Queens. I haven't seen Dr. Manna yet, but really like Drs. Saad and Scarantino. Have you seen all three doctors? What do you think of each of them? I understand that "your" doctor can't always be on call, but I thought I was lucky to at least be getting one of three that I was comfortable with. I wasn't clear if the other doctors affiliated with LIJ are constantly in the rotation or only when needed. It sounded as though they are always in rotation. I'd appreciate if you could post what you find out at your next appointment. Mine isn't for two weeks.

Dr. Saad is my OB/GYN. I have been to the Richmond Hill and Westbury locations. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this man. I left his practice with my first pg (because of a personal issue with one of his other doctors) and regret that decision. Dr. Saad will be delivering me since I am a scheduled c-section. Most practices (even the one I went to) have a rotation of doctors that you see and they do interlap with other practices.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have seen Dr. Saad the most during my pregnancy and have been very, very happy with him. Have you ever seen Dr. Scarantino or Manna? I would be interested to hear what you thought of them as well.

That's good to know that you've heard of other practices where their rotations overlap with other practices.

My sister who is on this website ( CHRISTINEL) used DR. Saad at the Howard Beach location for both of her pregnancies
