Need Referrals

DH and I decided that we want a bed for the office, so if a brother comes to visit or a couple when my parent's are in town (esp for holiday's), we want an extra bed in the house.

If we put a single twin bed in this room, it will look extemely crammed with the desk and the bookshelf b/c it's our office.

So, we want to buy a futon, but we don't want to spend a whole lot of $$$, but we want it to be comfortable and long lasting.

So, any suggestions?

Re: Need Referrals

I think a futon would be great. Another option is to buy a loveseat sofabed (my mom just got one from Jennifer Convertibles for $299).

I second the Jennifer Convertibles loveseat. Way more comfy than a futon & a good quality too.

I love when they have the sales.

Re: Need Referrals

Or you could buy the sleeper chair.

I saw it in the JC Penney catatlog. Its a chair and ottomon that opens up to a twin bed. It's actually pretty nice.

What about a murphy bed? My parents have one in my old room now and it makes the room look so big.

Re: Need Referrals

we bought a couch from Jennifer Convertibles that opens to a Queen.

Honestly, that room is too small for anything permanent. How about just using an airbed when people come over?

We wanted something up against the wall, so when we're doing research on the computer, or DH is working on band stuff with his bro, there is a place to sit down and relax. Plus, it's a nice reading room for me since the sun is on that side of the house.

I agree with the sleep chair and the price is really reasonable!

I like the couch/sleeper sofa idea. This way you have a place to sit and hang out when on the computer and a bed when people stay over.

we bought a futon for our small spare bedroom...$99 at walmart! strong, sturdy, and it gets the job done! we didnt want to go crazy spending $ on something that would get used so infrequently.
