Why would a house price be RAISED?
Just out of curiosity. I looked at a house listed at 449 back in November. In January, it went up to 459. The reator called us to see if we were still interested. Today it is listed at 475.
Im curious to understand the logic behind it in this market.

Maybe they have made some improvements since the house was first listed.

Maybe, but when I saw it in Nov. it was obviously flipped. the kitchen appliances still had the wrappers on them. freshly painted and shiny floors.

I saw one like that locally that the owners decided to add Central Air to when it wasn't selling.

Sounds like they are trying to get some money back that they lost to mortgage payments they've had to lay out while it's on the market. I'm guessing they thought it would sell quickly at a lower price.

#1 - it was priced too low when it first came on the market
#2 - seller is greedy
#3 - agent wants a higher commission

I'd say a new comp came in higher than they expected & now they are trying to recover $$$ spent on extra mortgage payments. Did the REA change? that could be another factor.
