Just ask them if its pasturized, most places it is... then its fine!

I wouldn't take the risk. I know you can ask if it's pasteurized, but the clerk could always be incorrect.

I agree. I wouldn't, but it's definitely a personal choice. We went to a Greek Restaurant a little while ago, and I really wanted the spinach pie, which has feta, and I got it, b/c I figured it was cooked into the pie. But I was uncomfortable doing it, I felt guilty!

i guess i will just wait. I dont think they would know at the store. I am gonna buy some pastrized feta from the supermarket tonight and then add it to my salad tomorrow. Just have to wait a day.

I really really miss my Greek Salad at Panera and I was studying their menu searching for something I could eat without feta or some other "no-no" cheese when I accidentally clicked on Greek Salad and it lists the nutrition facts and the detailed ingredient list. Their feta is pasteurized...i was thrilled.
So I say, if it's pasteurized, go for it.

Even if it is pasturized, the main problem with feta is Listeria so make sure it is cooked hot all the way through!
