Sleeping
At what point is it NOT good to sleep on your stomach or back. I am not a good side sleeper and although I try to start out that way, I am always finding myself on my stomach or my back!! UGH! I am currently 12 weeks...

Re: Sleeping
I think somewhere around the 16-20 week mark different sources will say to stop for sure...and for different reasons as well. I find myself waking up in the morning on my back...those mornings my back doesn't hurt. I'm a back and tummy sleeper myself. This side stuff blows.
As for me, I stopped the tummy sleeping once I was simply "too big" to really pull it off without feeling lke I was smushing my belly. As for the back, I officially stopped trying when I noticed a difference in my blood flow to my legs. I woke up one night on my back and out of guilt, turned and felt the blood rush to my feet. Then I realized, it really did constrict blood flow.

Re: Sleeping
I find I can only fall alseep on my back. Sleeping on my sides hurt my hips a lot and my hands go numb.
I have started sleeping in an almost upright position with pillows behind me to support my back and it works.
I am gonna sk the Dr as well ( Im 21 weeks)

Re: Sleeping
i think it's around your 5th month you're suppose to start sleeping on your side. preferably on your left side where your baby will get more oxygen. you could still sleep on your right if you'd like.
sleeping on my side's making me dislike being preg! my back, hips, but and shoulders hurt like crazy! with the help of FIVE pillows -- sheesh! helps a bit. not well, but helps.
g' luck!

Re: Sleeping
My doctor said I could sleep on my stomach until I couldn't anymore, you'll know. You'll get used to sleeping on your sides and I wake up most of the time on my back. There's only so much you can do when you're sleeping, you don't know where you'll wind up.
Try a body pillow or a snoogle when you start sleeping on you sides, I found it to help a TON!

Re: Sleeping
I am still sleeping on my stomach b/c I can do so comfortably, when i can't I will stop, I was never much of a back sleeper, so that part is easy, though i try not to lie flat on my back.
