If you have a housekeeper...

What exactly do you have them do and how often? I'd LOVE to have someone come in twice a month to do the heavy cleaning but I'd love to hear what you all have! TIA!

Re: If you have a housekeeper...

We have people (it's a man with 2 or 3 women) come once every 2 weeks. They do the bathrooms, kitchen, all the vaccuuming, mopping, dusting, etc... change sheets. They would do dishes if they were in the sink but I tend not to leave any.
Basically clean the whole house but no laundry or windows.

Re: If you have a housekeeper...

I have one every other week. She mops, vacuums, changes the sheets, does laundry, cleans the kitchen and baths, dust, wipe cabinets down and anything else she has time for. She works alone and works fast.

I pay $70/every other week. SO worth it!!!

Same here except for the laundry. She will do any additional cleaning task I ask except for windows.

Re: If you have a housekeeper...

I do not have her anymore but did have one every other week. She would do the floors - vacuum carpet and do the linoleum on her hands and knees (hates mops), do the laundry, clean the kitchen and baths and dust everything.

She was in and out in under 2 hours (4 hours the first time).

I paid $50/every other week and she thought that was TOO MUCH!!! I think she charged $10/hour.

I was looking for her number in an old cell phone and did not find it. Chat Icon

ETA - she did the baseboards w/o my asking.

I have someone every other week. I have had several different people and services. It ranged from $60-110. Services typically charge $110 for my house - 4 bedroom, 2.5 baths, etc.

Me too. We don't have to tell her what to do, she just uses her own judgement and IMO it's so worth it!!

Re: If you have a housekeeper...

We had someone clean our house before.

Bathroom (sink, tub)
floor (vacuum, mop, etc..)
Kitchen (stove, top, fridge)

A lot of people don't do windows.
